Production Specialist - Winnipeg, MB

Buhler Versatile Inc.is a growing manufacturer of farm equipment is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of Production Specialist at Clarence Avenue.

This position will be responsible for supporting production along with the implementation of mechanical, electrical and software, trouble shooting guidelines. A key component of this role is electrical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform and provide production support on all mechanical, electrical and software trouble shooting for the Versatile Tractor product line
  • Work with the Production Manager to develop, create, and implement systematic trouble shooting guidelines of all mechanical, software, and electrical issues found with the newly assembled tractors off the line
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Service to determine tooling requirements to support trouble shooting activities
  • Monitor new product designs; communicate changes to run-off and line mechanics
  • Work with run-off and line mechanics to solve technical issues
  • Record and document repair times for issues and production change requests
  • Ensure all safety and health initiatives are being followed
  • Maintain records and prepare reports related to responsibilities and duties
  • Ability to create and develop work instructions
  • Hands on with troubleshooting issues
  • May require some travel

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Manufacturing Technologist program or Electrical or Electronics Technology program or combination of education and/or experience
  • Good understanding of manufacturing environments
  • Electrical/electronics diagnostic skills
  • Good computer skills in Word and Excel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Understanding of how mechanical and electrical systems
  • Understanding of 5S and ISO processes is an asset
  • Capable of sustained physical effort while working with light and medium weight components
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
