Director of Engineering – Winnipeg, MB

Buhler Industries Inc., a leading and growing manufacturer of farm equipment, is currently accepting applications for a Director of Engineering.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Buhler Industries Inc., the incumbent is responsible for:

Product design from initial concept through design, prototype building and testing and into production
Providing leadership and mentoring to the Buhler Versatile Engineering departments located in Winnipeg, MB, Vegreville, AB and Willmar, MN
Developing and implementing corporate Engineering standards, processes and procedures
Ensuring all Engineering projects are completed by assigned deadlines
Develop department and project budgets
Assist in developing project definitions
Prioritizing department workload
Product reliability improvements, cost reduction and resourcing
Liaising with OEM customers, and suppliers
Supporting production, purchasing and quality with continuous improvement

The successful candidate must have a P.Eng designation. You must possess excellent management, communication and planning skills with the ability to effectively meet deadlines while multi-tasking daily priorities in a fast paced work environment. Experience with agricultural equipment and/or a background in farming are strongly preferred.
